  • My office is conveniently located at Roots Collaborative Care in Goodlettsville. Before your first appointment, I will send you more information about accessing the office.

  • Yes, I currently offer online therapy for clients throughout TN & KY.

Online therapy is a great option for clients who live far from my office. Or maybe you want to schedule therapy during your lunch break or baby's nap time.

Whatever your reason, all you need to join your virtual appointment is a private location and reliable internet connection. I use a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform, so you can be sure our session is confidential; before your appointment, you'll receive a link with instructions on how to quickly join the session.

  • My session rate for a standard 50-minute session is $150.

I also offer 90-minute sessions ($270), as well as EMDR Intensives. Keep scrolling to see more information about the packages I offer for Intensives!

  • My practice is a private pay therapy practice. There are many benefits to seeing an out-of-network/private pay therapist, such as:

    • Increased privacy: Your information will not be shared with your insurance company or employer.

    • More flexibility to choose what works best for you: Sometimes insurance companies will decide they won't keep paying for sessions if you are doing better than when you started. By working with a private pay therapist, you decide when you're ready to end counseling, not your insurance company.

    • No need for a diagnosis: This means we can work on the issues that are bothering you, even if you don't meet criteria for a mental health diagnosis.

    • Ability to work on issues that insurance doesn't traditionally cover: We can work on preventative care issues & other concerns that insurance may not cover.

I believe you should have options in your care. If you would like to seek possible out-of-network reimbursement from your insurance company, I recommend that you call your insurance company to ask about this process. I can provide you with a "superbill" (itemized receipt) to file with your insurance company. However, I cannot guarantee that your insurance will reimburse you (or how much your reimbursement may be). Seeking out-of-network reimbursement usually requires a diagnosis, so please let me know if plan to go this route so we can discuss the risks and benefits of doing so.

  • I am a Christian, and I enjoy incorporating faith and spirituality in the counseling process when clients want to do so. I have experience working with people from many different faith backgrounds, including individuals and couples who work in ministry.

There are many similar terms in the field of counseling related to faith, so it is important to distinguish my credentials. I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC-MHSP); I am not a certified biblical counselor. Therefore, I work with clients from all backgrounds and cultures, including all religious belief systems. Any incorporation of spiritual beliefs is at the discretion of the client.

  • I love working with couples! I do my best work with couples who are facing challenges in their relationship and want to figure out how to get past those hurdles to build a healthier relationship.

My training in Emotionally-Focused Therapy for couples work provides me a platform to help couples learn about their patterns and make changes to create new ways of connecting that lead to deeper intimacy and more satisfaction in the relationship.

I am also trained to provide support to couples with the Gottman Institute's Bringing Baby Home program. This evidence-based program is designed to support couples during pregnancy & postpartum.

  • Length of treatment varies for every person and every situation. We will discuss your goals and decide on an expected timeline together in your first appointment. For some clients, this may be a few weeks or months; for others, you may choose to utilize EMDR Intensives to speed up your progress. I'll give you my thoughts after we discuss your needs, but ultimately, you get to decide what works best for you.

You’re worth the investment.
